Job Role Overview
As a Civil Engineer with 3–5 years of experience, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring they align with technical designs, project schedules, and Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Municipality regulations. This role bridges site supervision and technical project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day civil and structural works, ensuring adherence to approved shop drawings and specifications.
Quality & Safety: Conduct regular inspections to maintain high quality control standards and ensure full compliance with UAE health and safety (HSE) protocols.
Resource Management: Coordinate and manage on-site resources, including subcontractors, labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity.
Technical Reporting: Prepare and maintain detailed site diaries, progress reports, and technical documentation for the Resident Engineer or Project Manager.
Authority Coordination: Liaise with consultants, contractors, and RAK local authorities (such as RAKEZ or the Municipality) for required inspections and project approvals.
Problem Solving: Resolve technical issues and discrepancies arising from field operations or design conflicts immediately on-site.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience: 3–5 years of proven civil engineering experience, preferably within the UAE or Gulf region.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS Office, and potentially Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Certifications: Candidates with RAK Municipality certification (e.g., G+4 or higher) or a valid Society of Engineers card are often preferred.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to handle diverse site teams and stakeholders.
